Contests From Hell

Here's the video preview of what's happening on this week's episode of The Next Food Network Star on Sunday night at 10pm.
Iron Chef Cat Cora challenges the remaining six finalists to describe food enticingly for the camera – using dishes they’ve never seen before. Then the finalists must team up to make easy versions of extremely complicated dishes and serve them to a roomful of extremely savvy eaters – the editors and writers from Bon Appétit magazine. The winning duo finds out that their dish will be featured in Bon Appétit.

With a proviso, ok, a slight reprimand, I'm upping my ratings of this show from three out of five stars to 4 stars.

Yowsah! I would not want to be one of the Next Food Network Stars last night. I might rather be something a lot easier .... a skydiver using a reserve chute, Britney Spear's publicity manager, a drug mule crossing the border, a cross-dresser locked up in a Southern jail, Bear Grylls drinking elephant dung in the Kalahari ... Yeah, almost anything would have been easier I think than being a Next Food Network Star contestant on it's opening ... {More...}
