What a wild weekend and week this is for food shows! Really. It's probably the busiest in quite a while. Why? Changes in shows, brand new programs and new episodes and "seasons" of returning favorites.
First, a lot happens tomorrow, Sunday. The first big thing is the premiere episode of a certain Iron Chef's latest cooking show: Grill It! with Bobby Flay How does this new one differ from Boy Meets Grill? You know, over the years, and espeically this one, there's been a lot of talk about how Hell's Kitchen is faked, scripted, edited to trick, you name it. Here's just a couple. First from a blog:
Kitchen was never quality TV—it was never even quality compared to other reality TV shows. But now it's almost unbearable. Almost every second of it is over-the-top, and many parts are quite obviously scripted.

Hell's Kitchen to me, in many ways, is a bit of a "guilty pleasure". It's low-brow, it's about humiliation. Screaming chefs and morons who think they're chefs. It's in many ways a bit sick -- and I have to admit I just so love it.
Want to have that "good time" feeling all year round? Now you can with the soon-to-be-launched Hell's Kitchen game for the Nintendo Wii and DS! We've known about this game since last July, but honestly when it was scheduled to come out at the same time or right before HK hit ... {More...}

Over the past two days, our favorite three food reality shows were on ... Hell's Kitchen, Last Restaurant Standing and Top Chef ... so let's check each one out and see what happened.
Hell's Kitchen
Took long enough to kill Craig! Whew, finally! Yeah, I noticed the over-tanning myself on last night's episode. That's what happens when you have a Brit in California. hehe
I do think Ben might be correct though. Seems Ramsay is out for him, and Ben is no better and no worse than most of the others. Matt on the other hand is definitely destined to go in the ... {More...}

Sara's Weeknight Meals -- Wow. This one flew so low under the radar I nearly missed it. (Alas, PBS shows are always like that though, aren't they? Never any commercials for them. Never any pre-marketing on their own network. You either get lucky looking or you find it months after it's been on.) Fortunately this new show starts this week.
