When has "something" really hit a mass audience big time? When do you get final confirmation that "something" is a cross-cultural success? Why when it's turned into an electronic game of course.

This is a couple of weeks old but I just ran across it. Fortunately the nature of the subject makes it still timely and not stale. In a nutshell, Village Voice reporter Robert Sietsema reveals what really happens at a taping of Iron Chef America first hand. Yes, writers aren't "supposed" to get in, but he did. Still, not wanting a lawsuit, The Voice waited until well after the culinary battle in question aired on the Food Network before publishing it.
